Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to Talk to Frank https://talktofrank.com/
This website is run the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
change colours, contrast levels and fonts
zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
iframes lack an appropriate title
some text across the site lacks contrast which may make content difficult to read
when using a keyboard to navigate, focus can sometimes become obscured
pre-recorded videos do not contain a text transcript or audio description option.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
DHSC is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Pre-recorded videos do not contain a text transcript or audio description option. Users with visual impairments may be unable to access all the information presented within video content. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.2.3 (audio description or media alternative (pre-recorded)).
We plan to resolve this by: End of 2026
Where pre-recorded videos are present, a second user-selectable audio description track is not provided. People who are blind or have low vision may have difficulty interpreting visually what is happening within the video content. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description (pre-recorded)).
We plan to resolve this by: End of 2026
Placeholder text within the search input lacks contrast against its background. People with low vision may have difficulty reading text that does not contrast with its background. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 (contrast (minimum)).
We plan to resolve this by: End of 2026
Iframes are present that lack an appropriate descriptive title. Without an appropriate title, users will not be able to determine if the content within the iframe is of importance to them. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.1 (bypass blocks).
We plan to resolve this by: End of 2026
When navigating the Mixing feature component using a keyboard, focus can move outside the overlay, resulting in focus becoming obscured. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.11 (focus not obscured (minimum)).
We plan to resolve this by: End of 2026
Disproportionate burden
Layout table
On the ‘Support Centre Details’ page a layout table is present for the ‘Keyboard shortcuts’ modal within the Google - Maps component
This is third party software and cannot be adjusted.
We’ve assessed the cost of fixing the issues with the layout table. We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will make another assessment when the supplier contract is up for renewal, likely to be in 2027.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Our aim is to have a fully accessible website. We plan to improve accessibility on this website during 2026.
