The Brink – The Forward Trust

Located in the heart of Liverpool City Centre, The Brink doubles as both a popular cafe and a recovery hub providing substance use support services on behalf of The Forward Trust.

Since opening in 2011, The Brink, Liverpool is considered to among the UK’s first ever sober bars. Often cited as a ‘beacon of hope’ within the Liverpool City Region, The Brink is a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for anyone that is looking for drug, alcohol or gambling addiction and recovery support.

A number of staff at The Brink, Liverpool have direct lived experience of recovery from drugs, alcohol and/or gambling. This knowledge and experience ensure that all staff – whether in the cafe or in the support services – will have compassion and understanding for anyone that comes through its doors.
